- Survey a site and work out where access points actually need to go
- Diagnose why devices drop connection in one corridor and nowhere else
- Tune channels and power to stop access points fighting each other
- Configure secure wireless authentication tied into the directory
- Investigate interference from equipment nobody thought was a radio
